Some pieces of jewelry are designed, while others carry a story. This pearl necklace, with its delicate integrated chain and Madonna pendant, holds a deeply personal meaning for me.

The Madonna pendant is a faithful recreation of the sacred symbol of protection i received at my baptism in 1978, the little pendant that accompanied me as i was welcomed into Christian faith. Now as part of my own design, surrounding it with pearls and giving it a new expression i choose to dedicate this piece to the celebration of the dormition of Virgin Mary on August 15th.

Panagia necklace represents protection,faith,tenderness and the timeless bond between a mother and her child. For me this necklace brings together a childhood memory, a piece of my history, my connection to Corfu and a symbol that has accompanied me since the very beginning.
